Legend of Zelda - Skyward Sword

So I was on my way to beating Demise when the TV, not the Wii, turned off. It finally turns back on to Link struggling with a few hearts and an almost broken shield. Roommate is a witness. Either Demise has powers, Miyamoto is a true genius or both.
